“We wanted to ensure the library felt a true part of the community, so we pulled our interior design inspiration from the surrounding Fox River Valley area. The color palette and indoor/outdoor design elements give the library a natural feel that reflects the beauty of the St. Charles region,” said Eric Penney, principal of Sheehan Nagle Hartray Architects. “Our main focus when designing the library was to create an inspiring space for the patrons to meet, collaborate and learn.”
Library Director Edith Craig provided an update on the St. Charles Public Library addition and renovation, with its Grand Re-Opening set for July 17, 2021.
