Stephen moved to Chicago from his hometown of Florence, Italy in 2016. Despite the change of scenery, he still finds himself enjoying the outdoors in the Midwest playing tennis, climbing, and biking as much as he can — and admits that he’s even gained a bit of a Chicago accent.
While citing both an appreciation for urban design and opposition to tradition, it’s the goal of designing a space that engenders a sense of unity that inspires Stephen most. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano (Polytechnic University of Milan) and a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Stephen's dream commission would be to design a piazza that is open to all to enjoy.
