Independent Pre‐K – 12 School

This multi-phase project was master planned and executed over the course of a dozen years. At the time it was undertaken, The Lab Schools consisted of disparate buildings with little relation to each other. The Master Plan strategically located new construction that wove the Schools together into a coherent campus with a unified identity.

The design of two new buildings integrated the unified Lab Schools campus into the broader context of the University’s campus gothic environment. The first was the 38,000 square foot Middle School designed to seamlessly fit between existing stone Gothic structures. The second was the 25,000 square foot Kovler Gymnasium designed in a more modern, but complementary stone Gothic aesthetic.
